NRI Voters Right

The right to vote for NRI is an incomplete measure because a majority of the NRIs cant utilise this. A majority of the NRIs who are working in Gulf reagion cannot avail the facility to cast their vote. How many of them can take leave and afford high flight fares (Because of vacation starts)?. Businessmen and high paid NRIs will enjoy the assembly election just like a lot of other privileges they are enjoying. Dubai KMCC arranged a chartered flight to take its members (Of course belong to Muslim leage and UDF) to kerala. UDF leaders are receiving these NRIs comes in chartered flights. How many blue collar NRI can see among these chartered flight gentlemen?. If all NRIs can cast votes the political parties in Kerala may be in trouble because NRIs will evaluate the candidate effectively and the vote will go for the right person. So the present system will give console for the parties in kerala because a meager percentage vote only fall in the ballot box and this may not be a big issue for them. If the Govt willing to give the right of vote for NRIs the following measures shall be taken.

1) Facility to do vote in their countries where they are working in assosiation with the Indian embassies (Even this also the employers in Gulf may not allow to its employees)
2) Postal vote

The present system is not an effective step to participate the NRIs in the democracy election system.
